When Crackers and Ginger Are Not Cutting It
Most people try the same list first. Small meals, ginger, crackers before you sit up, sipping water all day. For a lot of pregnancies that list is enough. When it is not, you end up in a loop where you feel too sick to drink, and then you feel worse because you have not been drinking.
An IV breaks that loop. It puts fluid and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, so your stomach never has to absorb anything. That is the same reason hospitals use IV fluids for pregnancy dehydration.
At Zen IV Spa, a licensed registered nurse comes to your home, office, or hotel anywhere in the New York City area and administers the drip in about 30 to 45 minutes. You stay on your own couch or in your own bed the entire time.
The Morning Sickness IV is $349 and requires approval from our medical provider before your visit is confirmed.

When the Morning Sickness IV Makes Sense
This drip is built for nausea that is wearing you down but has not become severe. If you have been vomiting for days, cannot keep anything down at all, or have lost weight, look at the Hyperemesis Gravidarum Relief IV instead. It is our stronger pregnancy protocol at $399.
You are in the thick of the first trimester. Nausea peaks for most people between weeks 6 and 14. Many clients book during that stretch and stop once it eases up.
Nausea has followed you past the first trimester. For some pregnancies it does not stop at week 14. Ongoing nausea is exhausting and it is worth treating rather than waiting out.
You have thrown up more than once today. If water is coming back up, you are losing ground on hydration and it is hard to catch up by sipping.
You are showing early signs of dehydration. Lightheaded when you stand, dry mouth, dark urine, headaches, or feeling more tired than the pregnancy alone explains.
You cannot keep your prenatal vitamin down. Many clients tell us this is the thing that finally made them call.
You want relief without a waiting room. Sitting in an urgent care lobby while nauseated is its own kind of misery. This comes to you.
What Is in the Zen IV Spa Morning Sickness IV?
Here is exactly what is inside, and what each ingredient does.
Lactated Ringer’s
The base of the drip. Lactated Ringer’s is a sterile fluid that replaces water and electrolytes at the same time, which is why hospitals reach for it when someone is dehydrated. It absorbs straight into your bloodstream, so your stomach never has to do the work.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports immune function, collagen production, and overall cellular health. It is one of the most requested ingredients on our menu, especially during cold and flu season.
Glutathione
Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant. It plays a key role in detoxification, immune function, and protecting your cells from oxidative stress. It is one of the most popular wellness ingredients in NYC for healthy aging, skin clarity, and overall cellular support.
Zinc
Zinc is essential for immune function, wound healing, and DNA synthesis. Many Americans are mildly zinc deficient, especially if they eat a lot of processed foods or are under chronic stress.
Magnesium
Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic processes in your body. It supports muscle and nerve function, blood sugar control, blood pressure regulation, and energy production. Most people do not get enough magnesium in their diet.
B Complex
B Complex is a blend of essential B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6) that your body needs to convert food into energy. They also support brain function, mood, and red blood cell production.
B12
B12 is essential for red blood cell production and brain function. Low B12 can cause fatigue, brain fog, and low mood. It is one of the main reasons clients report sharper thinking and better energy after a drip.
Optional medication support, when clinically indicated:
Anti-Nausea Medication
A provider approved medication that may help calm nausea and vomiting. Given by IV, it goes to work without asking your stomach to hold anything down first. It is added only when a medical provider finds it clinically appropriate for you.
Anti-Acid Medication
A provider approved medication that may help settle acid, heartburn, and an upset stomach. Added only when a medical provider finds it clinically appropriate for you.
Prescription support requires clinical indication and provider approval. Your nurse will explain anything that is added and why. Some clients get the fluid and vitamin bag alone and feel much better from the hydration.
Optional upgrades: Zinc high dose, Magnesium high dose, an additional liter of fluids if clinically eligible, the Sunshine Shot (vitamin D3), and the Beauty Shot (biotin). Your nurse can talk through what makes sense during your visit.

Why Mobile Morning Sickness IV Therapy in NYC
Going to a clinic for IV therapy means traveling, sitting in a waiting room, and adjusting your day around their schedule. Mobile IV therapy means none of that. A licensed registered nurse comes to you, sets up in minutes, and you relax during your drip in your own space.
That matters even more for this drip, because the session runs about 30 to 45 minutes. That is time you can spend resting on your couch, working from home, or lying in bed instead of sitting in a lobby.
Here is what makes Zen IV Spa stand out:
- $349 flat pricing with no hidden travel fees
- Same day appointments across the five boroughs
- Service across Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley
- Licensed registered nurses, not paramedics or medical assistants
- A real medical provider call before every treatment
- Sterile, single use equipment for every drip
- Available 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week

Rick and Farima are truly the best. As someone with a chronic illness who needs IVs regularly, it can be really difficult to find nurses who are both skilled and genuinely caring. They always make me feel comfortable, listened to, and cared for the entire time. They are incredibly gentle, always get my veins easily, and make sure everything is done perfectly and professionally. You can tell they truly care about their patients and want the experience to be as stress-free as possible. I’m so grateful for their kindness, patience, and expertise!! I would recommend them to anybody who Is looking for a great IV experience ☺️

Is the Morning Sickness IV Safe During Pregnancy?
IV fluids are used in pregnancy care regularly, including in hospitals for dehydration caused by morning sickness. Safety still depends on you specifically, which is why every pregnancy visit at Zen IV Spa requires medical provider approval before it is confirmed, and why your nurse checks a full set of vitals before starting.
Side effects are uncommon but can include a warm sensation during the drip, especially when magnesium runs in quickly, a slight metallic taste, mild bruising at the IV site, and rarely lightheadedness. Your nurse adjusts the drip rate to keep you comfortable and stays with you the whole time.
Please tell your OB or midwife that you are using at home IV hydration. If you are being followed for pregnancy nausea, how often you need fluids is useful information for your care team.
SAFETY CALLOUT: IV therapy is not a substitute for prenatal care or emergency medical care. Call your provider or go to the emergency room right away if you have belly pain, bleeding, fever, a bad headache, changes in your vision, or you have not been able to keep fluids down for more than 24 hours.

Who Should Not Book the Morning Sickness IV
Our medical provider reviews every intake and may recommend against treatment or a different plan if any of the following apply:
- You have not yet been seen for prenatal care in this pregnancy
- You have a pregnancy complication your OB is actively managing, unless your OB clears the visit
- Severe, ongoing vomiting with weight loss, which needs the Hyperemesis Gravidarum Relief protocol or in person care
- Active or untreated kidney disease, since extra fluids can stress the kidneys
- Active or untreated heart failure, since fluid loading can worsen heart strain
- G6PD deficiency, since high dose vitamin C is not safe with this condition
- A known allergy to any ingredient in the drip
- Belly pain, bleeding, fever, or any symptom that needs to be evaluated in person first
If our medical provider has any concerns during intake, they will tell you before treatment. We always put safety first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is IV therapy safe during pregnancy?
IV fluids are used in pregnancy care all the time, including in hospitals for dehydration from morning sickness. Safety depends on your specific situation, which is why every pregnancy visit here requires medical provider approval and a full set of vitals before anything starts.
Do I need clearance from my OB?
We do not require a written note, but we do ask who your OB or midwife is and whether you have any complications. Our medical provider reviews that at intake. If anything in your history needs a closer look, we may ask you to check with your OB before we confirm.
Will I get nausea medication?
Only if our medical provider decides it is clinically appropriate for you. It is listed as optional for a reason. A number of clients get the fluid and vitamin bag alone and feel noticeably better from the hydration.
How fast will I feel better?
Many clients say the fog and lightheadedness ease before the bag finishes, mostly from the fluids. Nausea relief varies from person to person. We will not promise a result, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does.
How long does the appointment take?
About 30 to 45 minutes from the time your nurse arrives. Add time if you choose an additional liter of fluids, since that includes another vitals check.
What if I throw up during the drip?
It happens, and your nurse is prepared for it. Tell her right away if you feel worse at any point. She can slow the drip, pause it, or stop the visit entirely.
How often can I get this?
Some clients book weekly through the worst stretch of the first trimester. Our medical provider can help you land on a reasonable schedule, and we would want your OB aware of it.
Is this the same as what I would get at the hospital?
The fluid base is similar and IV hydration is IV hydration. The difference is setting and scope. A hospital can run labs, monitor the pregnancy, and escalate care. We bring hydration and nutrient support to your home. They are not interchangeable.
Can I get this in the second or third trimester?
Yes. Nausea does not always stop at week 14, and this drip is appropriate later in pregnancy with provider approval.
Does it include NAD+?
No. We do not offer NAD+ during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it cannot be added to this drip.
Which vitamins are in it and are they safe?
Vitamin C, glutathione, zinc, magnesium, B Complex, and B12, all at standard wellness doses. Our medical provider reviews the formula against your history before approving it.
Is this covered by insurance or HSA/FSA?
Insurance does not typically cover wellness IV therapy. Some clients have had success using HSA or FSA accounts, and we can provide an itemized receipt. We recommend checking with your plan administrator.
How soon can someone come?
Same day appointments are often available between 8 AM and 8 PM. Call or text (332) 239-2005 if you want the soonest opening rather than booking online.
Do you come to apartment buildings?
Yes. We visit apartments, houses, hotels, and offices across the whole service area. Leave a note at booking if there is a doorman, a buzzer code, or a walk up.
Are the nurses actual registered nurses?
Yes. Every Zen IV Spa nurse is a licensed registered nurse. All treatments are also overseen by a licensed nurse practitioner or medical provider.
