Everything you need to know about mobile IV therapy with Zen IV Spa. From safety and pricing to scheduling, drips, memberships, and special situations like pregnancy or pediatric care. If you do not see your question answered below, call or text us at (332) 239-2005.

THE BASICS

About Mobile IV Therapy

  • What is mobile IV therapy?

Mobile IV therapy is a service where licensed healthcare professionals administer intravenous fluids, vitamins, minerals, and medications to clients at their own location. Instead of going to a clinic, the IV therapy comes to you. Zen IV Spa delivers mobile IV therapy across NYC, Long Island, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley.

  • Is mobile IV therapy safe?

Mobile IV therapy is generally safe when administered by a qualified healthcare professional. At Zen IV Spa, all treatments are provided by Licensed Registered Nurses and overseen by Nurse Practitioners. Every client completes a medical intake form before their session, and a medical provider reviews it to ensure the chosen drip is appropriate for them.

  • How does mobile IV therapy work?

After you book, you complete a brief medical intake form online. A medical provider reviews your intake and may call you to confirm details. On the day of your session, a licensed registered nurse texts their ETA and arrives at your home, hotel, office, or event venue with all supplies. The nurse stays with you throughout the session, which usually takes 30 to 45 minutes.

  • Why choose mobile IV therapy over a clinic?

Mobile IV therapy means no clinic visit, no waiting room, no commute, and no disruption to your day. The 30 to 45 minutes the drip takes is the only time you need to set aside. For most NYC and metro area clients, this is the difference between booking IV therapy occasionally and making it a real part of their wellness routine.

  • Are the nurses really licensed?

Yes. Every nurse at Zen IV Spa is a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN). All treatments are also approved and overseen by our Nurse Practitioners. We do not use unlicensed staff, technicians, or paramedics for IV administration without proper credentials.

  • What is the difference between mobile IV therapy and an IV drip bar?

An IV drip bar or lounge requires you to come to a clinic and sit in a shared space with other clients. Mobile IV therapy comes to your private location. The IV solution and process are the same; the difference is the convenience and privacy. Zen IV Spa is mobile only and does not operate a clinic or drip bar.

BOOKING

Booking and Scheduling

  • How do I book an appointment?

You can book online at zenivspa.com, call us at (332) 239-2005, or text us at the same number. We are available 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week to take bookings.

  • What are your hours?

Our hours are 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week. We are mobile only. For more information or to schedule, call us at (332) 239-2005 or book online.

  • How quickly can you come?

Same-day appointments are common across most of our service area. Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens often have the most flexibility. Suburban areas like Westchester, the Hamptons, and the Hudson Valley may need slightly more lead time during busy periods.

  • Can I book for tomorrow?

Yes, next-day bookings are usually easy to accommodate. We recommend booking earlier in the day to lock in your preferred time slot.

  • How far in advance should I book?

For individual sessions, same-day or next-day bookings work most of the time. For groups of 4 to 9, book at least 72 hours ahead. For groups of 10 or more, book at least one week ahead. Holiday weekends, race weekends, and the November-December stretch fill up faster, so earlier is better.

  • Do you have a cancellation policy?

Cancellations made with reasonable advance notice are accommodated. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Talk to your concierge at the time of booking about specific cancellation policies.

  • Can I reschedule my appointment?

Yes. Call or text us at (332) 239-2005 to reschedule. We try to be flexible with timing changes.

  • What if I need to change my address?

Just call or text us with the new address. As long as it is within our standard service area (NYC, Long Island, Westchester, or the Hudson Valley counties), we can update the booking without issue.

OUR DRIPS

Drips and Treatments

  • How many drips do you offer?

Zen IV Spa offers 18 drip formulas across hydration, recovery, beauty, performance, premium NAD+, pediatric, and custom tiers. Core drips include the Hydration IV ($229), Kids Mini Myers IV ($229), Myers Cocktail ($299), Hangover IV ($299), Jet Lag IV ($299), Nausea & Food Poisoning IV ($299), Migraine IV ($349), Weight Loss IV ($349), Athletic Recovery IV ($349), Glow Up IV ($349), Mega Myers IV ($399), Zen Cocktail ($399), Brain Power IV ($549), Wall Street IV ($649), Ultimate IV ($699), Black Card ($999), plus NAD+ standalone tiers and Custom IV from $160.

  • Which drip is right for me?

It depends on what you are looking for. Hydration IV is for basic hydration. Myers Cocktail is our most popular all-around wellness drip. Hangover IV includes anti-pain, anti-nausea, and anti-heartburn medications. Migraine IV handles migraines and severe pain. Weight Loss IV supports metabolism. Mega Myers is a stronger version of the Myers. Zen Cocktail is our deepest recovery drip with NAD+ and amino acids. Our medical provider helps you pick the right one during intake.

  • How long does an IV treatment take?

IV treatments with Zen IV Spa typically take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the specific package and your individual needs. The Zen Cocktail with NAD+ takes longer, usually 60 to 90 minutes. Our nurses take the time to ensure you are comfortable throughout.

  • Can I customize my drip?

Our medical provider can adjust certain ingredients during intake based on your goals, allergies, and medical history. We do not allow clients to add ingredients that have not been reviewed by a medical provider, but we work with you to match a drip to what you need.

  • Do you offer NAD+?

Yes. NAD+ is included in our Zen Cocktail ($399) and Weight Loss IV ($349). Unlike many competitors that charge NAD+ as an expensive add-on, NAD+ comes built into our menu pricing.

  • Do you offer Glutathione?

Yes. Glutathione is included in our Myers Cocktail, Mega Myers IV, and Hangover IV.

  • Do you offer high-dose Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is included in our Myers Cocktail and Mega Myers IV.

  • Do you offer single vitamin shots or injections?

We focus on full IV drips rather than standalone vitamin shots. The IV format delivers higher concentrations and full hydration alongside the vitamins.

  • What if I need a drip the menu does not match exactly?

Tell our medical provider during intake what you are looking for. We can often match your goal to one of our existing drips or adjust ingredients within safe parameters.

  • Can I get a Hangover IV preventatively?

Some clients book a Hangover IV the day before a heavy night out as a preventative measure. The IV provides hydration, B vitamins, and other support that may reduce the next-day impact. The Hangover IV is also our most popular morning-after option.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety, Health Conditions, and Special Situations

  • Is IV therapy safe for everyone?

Mobile IV therapy is safe for most healthy adults when administered by a licensed nurse and overseen by a medical provider. Some health conditions, medications, and situations require additional review or may make IV therapy inappropriate. Our medical provider screens every client through the intake form before any session.

  • Can you treat children?

Yes. We treat children daily. We treat children ages 12 and up at 100 lbs and up with parental consent. The child must be willing to receive treatment. A parent or legal guardian must be present for the entire appointment, complete the intake, and sign consent.

  • I am on hospice care. Can you treat me?

If you are on hospice care, we recommend speaking with your hospice team before scheduling IV therapy. In some cases we may be able to provide treatment with approval from your hospice provider. Please contact us directly to discuss your needs and our medical team will review your situation.

  • Can I get IV therapy while pregnant?

Pregnancy requires special consideration. Some drips and ingredients are appropriate during pregnancy with OB/GYN clearance, while others are not recommended. Our medical provider reviews your situation during intake. We require OB/GYN clearance for any pregnant client and do not provide certain ingredients (like NAD+) during pregnancy.

  • Can I get IV therapy while breastfeeding?

Many drips are appropriate during breastfeeding, but our medical provider reviews your situation during intake to ensure all ingredients are compatible with breastfeeding.

  • I have a chronic illness. Can I still get IV therapy?

Many clients with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, mild kidney issues, or autoimmune conditions can safely receive IV therapy. Our medical provider reviews your specific situation and may recommend specific drips or modifications. Tell us about all conditions and medications during intake.

  • I take medications. Will the drip interact with them?

Tell our medical provider about all medications during intake, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and supplements. We screen for potential interactions before every session.

  • What if I have allergies?

Tell our medical provider during intake about all allergies, including medications, foods, environmental allergies, and reactions to past IV therapy. We screen for allergens in our drips and can adjust formulations as needed.

  • Can I get IV therapy if I have heart problems?

Heart conditions require careful review. Some heart conditions are compatible with IV therapy; others are not. Our medical provider reviews your specific situation. Always tell us about heart history, recent cardiac events, and any cardiac medications.

  • Can I get IV therapy if I have kidney disease?

Mild kidney issues are usually compatible with IV therapy. Severe or active kidney disease requires medical clearance because the kidneys process the fluids and ingredients we deliver. Our medical provider reviews your situation during intake.

  • Can I get IV therapy after surgery?

With your surgeon's clearance, post-surgical IV therapy can support recovery. Some procedures require waiting periods. Talk to your surgeon and tell us about the procedure during intake.

  • What are the side effects?

Side effects are uncommon and usually mild when they occur. The most common are a mild metallic taste during the drip, slight cooling sensation in the arm, and bright yellow urine afterward (from B vitamins). Allergic reactions are rare but possible. Our nurse stays with you throughout the session and is trained to handle reactions.

  • What if I have a reaction?

Our nurses are trained to handle reactions if they occur. They carry standard emergency medications and equipment. Serious reactions are rare. The nurse will stop the drip immediately if any concerning symptoms appear and address them appropriately.

  • Will I feel anything during the drip?

Most clients feel relaxed during the drip. Some report a slight metallic or vitamin taste in the mouth, mild warmth or coolness in the arm, or a calm sensation. The Zen Cocktail with NAD+ may include a subtle clarity feeling some describe as a quiet buzz.

YOUR VISIT

During Your Appointment

  • What should I do to prepare?

Eat a light meal 1 to 2 hours before your appointment. Drink some water before the nurse arrives. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to your arm. Have a comfortable spot to sit or recline (couch, bed, or chair). Complete your medical intake form ahead of time.

  • What does the nurse bring?

Our nurse brings everything needed for the session: the IV bag, supplies, sterilization materials, your chosen drip ingredients, and equipment for proper administration. You do not need to provide anything except a comfortable place to sit.

  • How does the IV go in?

The nurse cleans the area, inserts a small IV catheter into a vein in your arm, secures it with a small bandage, and starts the drip. The needle insertion takes a few seconds. The needle itself is removed once the catheter is in place; only the soft tubing stays in your arm during the session.

  • Does the IV hurt?

The IV insertion itself is a quick, mild pinch that lasts a few seconds. Most clients describe it as less painful than getting blood drawn at a doctor's office. Once the IV is in place, there is no ongoing pain during the drip.

  • Can I move during the drip?

Yes, within reason. You can use your phone, watch TV, eat, drink, talk to friends, work on a laptop, or just rest. Avoid quick or sweeping arm movements that might disturb the IV. Your nurse can help you find comfortable positions.

  • Can I use the bathroom during the drip?

Yes. Your nurse can help you move with the IV pole or temporarily adjust the setup if you need to use the bathroom.

  • How is the IV removed?

When the drip finishes, the nurse removes the catheter, applies pressure to the insertion site, and bandages it. The whole removal takes under a minute and is painless.

  • What happens after the appointment?

Most clients feel hydrated and refreshed within an hour. The nurse takes any used supplies with her or him; nothing is left behind that you need to dispose of. The small bandage on your arm can be removed in a few hours.

  • Can I drive after a drip?

Yes for most drips. Some clients feel slightly relaxed after the drip but most can drive normally. If you feel any drowsiness, wait until you feel fully alert.

  • Can I exercise after the drip?

Yes. Many athletes book a drip and then go to the gym a few hours later. The drip supports rather than limits physical activity. Avoid heavy arm exercises immediately after if your IV site is still tender.

  • Can I drink alcohol after a drip?

Light alcohol consumption is fine after a drip. Heavy drinking immediately after defeats the purpose of the hydration. The Hangover IV is most often used the morning after, but pre-drinking hydration drips can also help.

  • How long until I feel the effects?

Many clients feel hydrated within 20 to 30 minutes. Energy and mental clarity from B vitamins typically build over the next hour. Recovery effects from the Zen Cocktail with NAD+ may build over 24 to 48 hours and last several days.

GROUP BOOKINGS

Groups and Events

  • Do you do group bookings?

Yes. Groups of 4 save 15%. Groups of 5 to 9 save 20%. Groups of 10 or more save 25%. We do bachelorette parties, bridal showers, birthdays, corporate wellness events, athlete recovery sessions, and holiday or VIP parties.

  • Do you do bachelorette parties?

Yes. Bachelorette parties are one of our most popular bookings. Groups of 5 to 9 save 20%. We come to your hotel, Airbnb, or apartment.

  • Do you do corporate wellness events?

Yes. Corporate groups of 10 or more save 25%. Corporate invoicing is available. We come to your office or event venue.

  • How does corporate invoicing work?

We can invoice your company directly for the full event rather than collecting individual payments from employees. Contact our team to set up an invoicing arrangement.

  • How far in advance should we book a group event?

At least 72 hours for groups of 4 to 9. At least one week for groups of 10 or more. Holiday season fills up faster, so book earlier in November and December.

  • Do you bring multiple nurses for groups?

Yes. Larger groups have multiple nurses to keep the appointment time manageable. A group of 15 or more typically has at least two nurses; very large groups have more.

  • Can each guest pick a different drip?

Yes. Every guest picks her or his own drip during intake. The bride might choose a Mega Myers, a bridesmaid might choose the Hangover IV, another might choose Hydration. All can happen in the same group session.

  • Can we do this at our event venue?

Yes. We work with event venues across the metro area. Just confirm with the venue that medical wellness services are allowed (most are).

GOOD TO KNOW

Practical Questions

  • What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that gives the nurse access to your arm. Short sleeves or sleeves that roll up easily work best. Whatever you would wear to relax at home is fine.

  • Can my pet be in the room during the drip?

Yes. Most pets are fine to be in the room. If your pet gets very excited or anxious around new people, you may want to keep the pet in another room during the IV insertion to avoid any disruption.

  • Can my partner or roommate be present?

Yes. Anyone you want present during your appointment is welcome. The session is in your home so you control who is there.

  • Will the IV leave a bruise or mark?

Most clients have no visible mark beyond a small adhesive bandage that comes off in a few hours. Mild bruising is uncommon but possible. If you are particularly worried about a mark for a photo or event, the IV typically doesn't leave anything visible by 24 hours later.

  • Will my urine turn yellow after the drip?

Yes, often. Bright yellow urine is normal after drips with high-dose B vitamins. It is excess B vitamins being excreted by your kidneys. It is not a sign of any problem.

  • How often can I get a drip?

Many clients book monthly or biweekly drips for sustained wellness. Some clients book weekly drips during high-stress periods or for athletic recovery. Our medical provider helps you find the right cadence based on your goals.

  • Can I get a drip while I work?

Yes. Many clients use the drip time to take phone calls, answer emails, or do light desk work. The drip is in your arm but does not interfere with most desk activities.

  • Will I be tired after?

Most clients feel energized rather than tired. The B vitamins, hydration, and other ingredients typically support energy. The Zen Cocktail with NAD+ may make some clients feel relaxed enough to nap during or after the drip.

  • Should I eat before or after the drip?

Eat a light meal 1 to 2 hours before your appointment. After the drip, eat normally. Some clients feel light hunger after a drip; this is normal.

  • Can I get a drip on my period?

Yes. Period-related cramps and discomfort can be supported by drips like the Migraine IV (with magnesium and anti-pain medication) or Hydration IV. Tell your nurse if you would prefer a specific arm based on comfort.
